CNN just published an article revealing that Democrats are going “all in” on redistricting.

As Hakeem Jeffries sits in the minority of a GOP-controlled Washington, he is still haunted by a Republican gerrymandering gambit that he believes cost him the speaker’s gavel — and cost his party control of the House.
This time, he’s making sure Democrats fight back.
Jeffries is leading the Democratic party’s counterpunch to President Donald Trump’s aggressive mid-decade redistricting push. He’s going all in with money, legal firepower and his own political capital to make sure no seat is left on the table for Democrats — forcing the party to abandon the left’s longtime moral opposition to party-line map meddling.
“Republicans started this redistricting war, and Democrats have made clear, we’re going to finish it,” Jeffries said in an interview with CNN. “When they go low, we strike back.”
Before we give our thoughts on this, I just have to point out two of the most biased parts of the CNN write-up.
“This time, he’s making sure Democrats fight back.”
“forcing the party to abandon the left’s longtime moral opposition to party-line map meddling.”
CNN wants you to believe that Democrats never gerrymander and that the gerrymandering crisis began when Republicans made new districts in Texas.
This is laughable.

When one thinks of New England, they tend to think of charming little college towns, freezing winters and funny accents, but there’s something else that should be added to this list: The region is the most heavily gerrymandered, in favor of Democrats, of any in history….
…But when it comes to drawing districts in order to shut out the minority party, which is really what gerrymandering is, New England Democrats have a perfect record: There 21 House seats spread over six states and not one single GOP representative.
Frankly, a Republican would be about as likely to win a House race in 1860 Mississippi as one in New England in 2025.
Now, let’s get to what is actually going on.
It is quite simple. Democrats know they are in big electoral trouble. Not only were they embarrassed in 2024 but the new census will make there chances of winning even worse.
Blue states are losing electoral votes and House seats because so many people have fled. There only path is gerrymander states.
If they win the presidency in 2028 they will push to pack the courts and make change after change.
This is a sign that Democrats know their voting base is getting smaller and smaller and years of them rigging the system is starting to come undone. That is why they are going to go all-in on gerrymandering.
Let’s also not forget how embarrassing this is for Republicans in Indiana. Republican state senators voted against the wishes of their constituents against redistricting. Now, Democrats are going all-in on redistricting.
