On first glance you might be shocked. How is the Democrats leading by 3 not good for them? Republicans have faced massive headwinds in Trump’s first term. Trump has taken big action on his agenda items. Trump’s actions will be great in the long-term but some cause backlash short term. This has given Democrats an opening. Democrats attack Trump and accuse him of causing chaos. They claim he isn’t fixing things fast enough even though he is fixing their mess. This is something that works in the short term however. The American electorate wants results and they will blame Trump if they feel things aren’t getting fixed fast enough. This how the Democrats built this 3 point lead. That is where the issue for Democrats come in. This lead should be much bigger. Come election day everything is going to be better. Inflation will be lower. Trump will have calmed down even more of the conflicts overseas. Most of all, the average American will begin to feel the success of Trump’s policies in their pocketbooks. If Democrats only have a 3 point lead and 13% remain unsure that means Republicans are within striking distance of pulling off a miracle in the midterms.
