With Israel striking Iran the political world is divided.
The divide isn’t even liberal conservative – the divide is between those on the right and the left.
Trump has now praised Israel’s strike, affirmed US material support; and Israeli media is reporting his public opposition was a disinformation campaign to mislead Iran
So in other words Trump, not Israel, has made a mockery of all of us wanted to avoid this war https://t.co/IVy2XrZkKR

This is in reference to the fact it seems like the United States was supportive of this strike.
Although, they did not play a part in it.
I want to start my point by saying I agree with many on the right that don’t want to be getting involved in conflicts overseas. The foreign policy establishment has been a complete disaster and Saagar, as well as many on the right, are correct to call this out. They are right on a lot of these issues.
What I don’t like is misrepresenting what is going on here.
Donald Trump did not escalate this conflict. Donald Trump did not use negotiation as a ruse. Donald Trump attempted to make a peace deal. Throughout this peace deal he warned Iran repeatedly as to what was to come if a deal was not reached. Trump was way more friendly and optimistic about peace than Iran was throughout this whole process. Will anyone call out Iran for this? The idea of peace through strength means at some point strength has to be shown. If you constantly cave to the demands of who you are negotiating with then they will walk all over you.
It is perfectly fine to worry about what comes next. War is not a good thing. War leads to unimageable horrors. The problem I have is the framing we are seeing by some.
Trump did not break his promises to the American people. He has tried to make a deal.
Even after the strikes he continues to push for a deal.
He posted these two posts on Truth Social.
I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them, in the strongest of words, to “just do it,” but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done. I told them it would be much worse than anything they know, anticipated, or were told, that the United States makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the World, BY FAR, and that Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come – And they know how to use it. Certain Iranian hardliner’s spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse! There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end. Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, no more destruction, JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. God Bless You All!
Two months ago I gave Iran a 60 day ultimatum to “make a deal.” They should have done it! Today is day 61. I told them what to do, but they just couldn’t get there. Now they have, perhaps, a second chance!
